Expected growth of 7 to 8% for the production of lemons

 

 

 

FEDERCITRUS, the Argentinian Citrus Federation, predicts a production growth of 7 to 8% for lemons. This represents about 1.512 million tons. Production in 2017 reached 1.4 million tonnes, a level below expectations.

 

 

 

This increase in volumes will lead to an increase in exports. Following the opening of markets in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam and Indonesia, the sector is planning to expand into other new markets and strengthen the presence of Argentinian lemon in its traditional markets.
