Ailimpo expects the lemon production to reach 970,000 tonnes

AILIMPO expects that the 2014-2015 production in Spain will reach 970,000 tonnes. Therefore almost the equivalent of the previous season production, although the final figure will depend on the amount of rainfall and water available for irrigation.

The 2013/14 season had a total of 994,000 tonnes, including 590,000 tonnes of fresh lemons that were exported. This record export figure was the result of continued growth in key markets .

This new campaign will begin with a lead of almost two weeks on the usual schedule , and in October the volumes will be higher.
