Satisfactory results for the medFEL show, the benchmark event for the Fruits & Vegetables sector in France

The 2023 edition of the medFEL show (April 26-27) welcomed, according to the organisers, 3,397 professional visitors, i.e. +7% compared to 2022, and brought together 200 French and international exhibitors.

 

This year, nearly 1,000 Business Meetings took place during the show, allowing all the players in the sector to meet. Sharp increase (+8% compared to 2022) in international presence with buyers from Germany, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Denmark, Arab Emirates, Spain , Hong-Kong, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Nigeria, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Senegal, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, Vietnam who came to meet the producers present .

 

These 2 days of the show allowed solid commercial exchanges and fascinating debates around essential themes. Water, energy and food sovereignty were at the heart of discussions this year. Nearly 20 conferences, 6 debates and round tables brought together the professionals present around current topics and future prospects.

 

Another highlight of the medFEL, the announcement of apricot harvest forecasts as well as the anticipation of melon plantations. The event continues online on Tuesday 23 May for the European peach and nectarine harvest forecasts which will be broadcast live in French, Spanish and Italian.
