Interko to present its ripening solutions at Fruit Attraction
Interko, one of the global leaders for the design, manufacture and installation of innovative ripening rooms for fresh fruit, will exhibit at Fruit Attraction in Madrid, Spain, on 4-6 October 2022.
The Dutch company will be accompanied by industrial refrigeration specialist Clauger, and demonstrate its recent technological advances to target new business in Europe and South America, as well as to reunite with existing customers.
Chris Maat, Managing Director/Partner, and Narcís Guinart, Project Manager, both Spanish speakers, will attend the three-day trade fair. If you wish to schedule an appointment with Interko, please send your inquiry and meet the team on Stand 10H05. Clauger will exhibit on Stand 10C15.
In the last year Interko has focused on improving its ripening technology aiming to meet supply and energy challenges of the global produce industry, in addition to installing its state-of-the-art ripening rooms in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Peru.
The time-tested ripening room provider has installed hundreds of rooms across Europe and worldwide
To that end, Interko has released its own innovative ripening control system complete with a unique fail-safe mode. The sensor-based program helps users to go one step further in automating their ripening process, and comes pre-fitted in Ultimo, Optimo, Mobilo, and Axesso, Interko’s widely-known ripening rooms.
Maat added that since they launched their new ripening controller, the customers’ reaction was so positive that now the product is almost selling itself. It records a lot of data, offers great quality control, enables ripeners to perfect their ripening cycles with more flexibility and responsiveness than before, and is very easy to use. In addition, Interko’s controller enables operators to automate their ripening process with the guarantee of a fail-safe feature, which can help businesses with their labor challenges.
Next, the Dutch producer upgrades its ripening room range with newer fans to enable even greater energy savings. That includes a remodeled Ultimo cooler with even more efficient fan motors, while working on a second generation of its Reverso reversible fan for use in all 4 room types.
At the same time, Interko seeks to use less materials. The goal is to overcome supply chain shortages, and ensure more efficient stacking of its products during shipping.
Maat highlighted that they can create bespoke ripening rooms equipped with their latest innovative technology for fruit retailers, importers and distributors. By choosing Interko ripening rooms, operators will minimize their operational costs, reduce energy consumption, lower product loss, and improve quality, finish and shelf-life of their product.
