Carrefour and Casino to open hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia

The two French retail groups are planning to open stores in Saudi Arabia in partnership with local groups. Casino will operate a franchise system with Al Hokair, an important retailer, with stores planned to open by 2007. As for Carrefour, it intends to open several hypermarkets in the kingdom's major towns in partnership with Al Oloya.
