Satisfactory season for blueberries

The blueberry season comes to an end in Chile.

In terms of volumes, the Chilean production will increase by 24% compared to last season. The Committee Arándanos Chile does not have definitive data, but it notes that exports grew. All markets fared better, Europe and the U.S. in particular, but also Asia, which is expected to exceed the 50% growth.

As regards the weather, the season was atypical. Rains in December and in February had an impact on the fruit: repackage upon arrival was the standard. But demand continues to grow worldwide, in traditional markets (United States, Canada, United Kingdom) and new markets (China, Korea).
