Fruixi: new mobile concept

An original initiative in Montreal sees the establishment of a new mobile market which will offer fruits and vegetables in city parks.

The Fruixi concept uses bikes and scooters equipped with a rear space for stalls of fruits and vegetables. They can carry 150 kg of goods. Fruixi operates from from Friday to Monday from 10 am to 20 pm, in 12 parks in Ville-Marie, and three parks in the Plateau Mont-Royal.

The service will run until October. Featuring local products, Fruixi would encourage people to eat more fruits and vegetables, to support market gardening, while making a gesture toward the environment. The service will be extended to Fruixi delivery restaurants. source : canoe, les affaires
