Fruit importers seem to agree : prices will rise.
A few weeks before the Chinese New Year , professionals of all fruits and vegetables are forecasting a rise in import prices. For mandarins and oranges that are the gift of choice for these festivities , prices are expected to increase by 20 to 30% compared to last year.
First a drop in production of oranges in China and the Singapore Dollar down from the American currency with which professionals from Singapore regulate imports , and finally an increase in demand " traditional " are all factors that will contribute to this increase.
