Singapore is No. 2 ( for containers ) and planetary Hub

 Singapore MPA ( Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore ) recorded an increase in its volume of containers .The port of Singapore in 2014 recorded a container volume of 33.9 million TEU ( TEU ) an increase of 4% compared to 32.6 million TEU ( TEU ) made ??in 2013.

With this increase in volume , Singapore is placed in the second position behind the port of Shanghai (China) , who managed 35.29 million TEUs ( TEUs) .With more than 200 shipping lines and 600 ports connections in more than 120 countries , the port of Singapore plays a key role in world trade .
