World pear exports expected to rise

World pear exports for the 2004/05 MY are estimated to increase by 4 percent to 1.5 million tons. China and Argentina are the top pear exporting countries, while increased shipments from China and Italy will offset an expected 5 percent drop in volumes from the USA.
