Significant decrease in the production of cherries
Argentina

Argentina expects production to be 20-70% lower for cherry varieties.
Cherry production in Argentina will be significantly lower than in previous years.
The first harvest has begun and producers expect a volume well below the previous year. Depending on the varieties and regions, the decline in production is estimated between 20-70%.
A range of causes could explain this drop in production.
Early flowering coincided with the rain and cold. For some agronomists "the effect of alternating" down normal production after the "overload" of last year. For others, it's the pollination from bees that failed after high mortality rates.
