Greece increases industrial and table tomato production

Greece's industrial and table tomato production for 2004/2005 is just over 2 million tons, a significant increase on 2003. Industrial production is estimated this year at 1,187,000 tons, while fresh tomato production is estimated at 860,500 tons. Chinese competition is affecting sales of Greek processed tomato products in EU and other markets.
