Ecuadorian bananas return to Brazil after 21 years of interruption.
Last week a first container of Ecuadorian bananas arrived at the port of Santos (Brazil), it is the first export of these fruits to Brazil for 21 years.
"This event marks a milestone in bilateral trade relations between the two countries," said Alexis Villamar, director of the PRO ECUADOR Trade Office in Brazil, to highlight the work done by this institute and the Ecuadorian Embassy in Brasilia to revive the opening this important market.
Visits to production sites, health process assessments, standards verified. Bananas from Ecuador were allowed to enter Brazil. This 1st cargo contained a total of 1144 cartons of bananas.
Access to Brazil, a country with over 200 million inhabitants, is good news for Ecuadorian professionals who hope to offset the decline in sales in the northern hemisphere.
