Impacts and adaptations to consider climate change.

The 2nd Meeting of RED (Research Experimental Development) network will take place December 4, 2013 in Avignon (Palais des Papes). Conference discussion on the theme "Climate Change: What impacts in the Mediterranean area? What adaptations for agriculture in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur? "

The day will start with the state of knowledge on climate change (greenhouse effect and climate change, state of the places and projections for the region, impacts on water resources), and will be examined the potential impacts on agricultural production and cultures (impacts on production, impacts on parasites, wildlife). The afternoon will be devoted to adaptation strategies (plant improcments, irrigation strategies and equipment selection) and at roundtable.
