“Wide-area harvest of Kiwi has been started from over 4 thousand 700 hectares of the gardens of the Northern provinces since the early Azar and will be continued by the end of Dey,” said the managing director of the union of Iranian Composites producers.
“It’s anticipated that the produced volume of Kiwi will reach 130 thousand tons this year that shows an increase by 15 to 20 percent in comparison to that of past year,” added Enayatollah Biabani.
“Over 85 percent of the country’s Kiwi is harvested in the province Mazandaran, which is transported to advanced cold storages with a relative humidity of over 90 percent. The main part of them is exported abroad,” he affirmed.
“Currently, this commodity is purchased at 400 to 550 Tomans from farmers,” he continued.
