British supermarket chain Waitrose has reached an agreement to buy 19 stores from Morrisons.
18 of the stores are Safeway outlets recently acquired by Morrisons, but which it had to dispose of under the terms of the deal.
Waitrose, which is part of the John Lewis group, will see its floor space increase by 20 percent.
