Spar enters Russian partnership

Spar International has signed an agreement for Russian company Intertorg to open Spar supermarkets. The agreement guarantees the Intertorg society, which already manages Semya Narodnaya and Ideya supermarkets, the exclusive right to use the Spar brand in north-western Russia.

Intertorg, based in St. Petersburg, is a key player in the local market and plans to open 20 new stores. Spar will provide consulting services to its partner on the construction of the supermarkets, marketing and logistics as well as participation in national contracts.
