After the Tunisian olive oil, Turkish hazelnuts are in the sights of the association, which warns consumers against the high levels of aflatoxin and pesticides above the permitted percentages that they contain.
It must be said that Turkey is the world's largest hazelnut producer in front of the Italian and also the largest Nutella hazelnut provider.
The list, which also includes China peanuts, India paprika, tuna from Spain, was submitted to the International Agricultural and Food Products Forum.
Fiskobirlik (The Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Sales Noisettes) immediately revendicated, by issuing a warning to its producers to draw attention to aflatoxin levels and reiterating the measures taken to prevent and punish any excess.
According to the News Agency of Anatolia, President of the Management Board responsible for the coordination of Chambers of Agriculture of Giresun, the main production region, the Italians are trying to create a climate of uncertainty around the Turkish hazelnut, which the new crop has just started.
