WUWM Conference to focus on Green Market

WUWM wants to demonstrate the cost effectiveness and possibility to combine economic activity and protection of natural resources.
The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) holds conferences open to members and observers, twice a year in spring and autumn.
The first conference in 2012 will be held in Berlin from May 22 to 25. Organised by the Berliner Grossmarkt (BGM) the theme will be "The Green Market: a Worthwhile Investment".
Discussions will focus on energy efficiency and
energy management, innovative solutions and good environmental practices in order to improve profits through more efficient management of resources. A study visit will be made to the town of Brandenburg, where a district is self sufficient in energy.
Visits to Berlin wholesale market (330,000 m2) and the Marheineke retail market (3000m2) are planned.
