Sum up of cucumbers import to Ukraine from Turkey in 2012

 

Last year, cucumbers import from Turkey to Ukraine started 2 weeks earlier than the previous year's one, almost at the same time as local cucumbers season has come to an end.

 

 

 

The quality of Turkish cucumbers was acceptable, and prices were 25 - 32 % lower than costs of cucumbers provided by Ukrainian producers.

 

 

 

As a result, Ukrainian greenhouses owners were unsatisfied with prices level for cucumbers of 2nd crop rotation.

 

 

 

Especially taking into account the fact that this season cucumbers prices level remained unchanged comparing to the previous year's one while operating expenses have greatly increased.
