Peru’s camote exports reach $3.9 million by April

Peru exported US$3.92 million worth of camote between January and April 2026, according to Agrodata, with shipments totalling 4.28 million kilos at an average price of US$0.92 per kilo.
April delivered the strongest monthly result so far this year. Export value reached US$1.25 million, ahead of March’s US$1.14 million, while the average price climbed to US$1.21 per kilo, the highest level recorded in the first four months of 2026.
By destination, the Netherlands clearly dominated purchases, accounting for US$2.62 million, or 67% of total FOB value. The United States followed with US$776,637, representing 20%, while Chile absorbed US$422,707, equal to 11%. Other markets together contributed US$99,936.
