The weather conditions have slowed the timetable for the production of cauliflower.
Agreste, the statistical office of the Ministry of Agriculture, expects for this end of campaign offer on the rise, with a record volume of more than 80,000 tons in March and higher values ??than those of 2012 for April and May.
The areas dedicated to cauliflower - 19,300 hectares - are slightly decreasing (-1%) with regard to the national total, compared to last season 2011/2012. The production - 384,000 tons - is up 6%.
