The air freight recorded a strong increase in February and seems to echo a renewed confidence.
IATA (International Air Transport Association) has published the results of global air traffic.
IATA figures show a 5.2% increase for air cargo over the same month last year. Demand for air freight has grown since September and this trend seems to reflect the improved economic climate.
Leading the growth for freight is the Middle East with an 18.2% increase and the Asia Pacific region with an increase of 10.2%.
Global air traffic for passengers recorded growth of 8.6% for the same period.
