Pure Flavor® received International Taste Award for its new Bite-Sized Fruity Tomatoes

Pure Flavor®, greenhouse vegetable grower, recently received the prestigious Superior Taste Award Certification for their Cloud 9® Tomato.

The new Cloud 9® Bite-Sized Fruity Tomatoes launched after extensive product trials and consumer taste testing. Strategically grown in high-tech greenhouses in the US, Canada and Mexico, these tomatoes are available year-round. The company has conducted product trials in key growing regions to create a suitable growing formula for the consistent production of these snack tomatoes.

Jamie Moracci, President at Pure Flavor®, shared that every year they tasted hundreds of tomatoes in search of something special in color, shape, size, but most importantly, flavor. From the first taste of the Cloud 9® variety, the company knew they have found it. "We have created the Cloud 9® Standard for quality and look forward to consumers enjoying this hand-selected bite-sized tomato every day”, added Moracci.

Pure Flavor®'s Cloud 9® Tomato received the prestigious Superior Taste Award Certification from the International Taste Institute (Brussels, Belgium). The reviewing Jury consisted of over 200 renowned European Chefs and Sommeliers from over 20 countries.

According to Stijn Roelandt – Sous-Chef at Hof van Cleve, 3 Michelin stars and member of the Jury, International Taste Institute, certification is a strict process whereby all products are blindly tasted. This means that the samples are anonymized, the Jury do not see the packaging, do not know the brand or producer's names, and they do not even know which country the product comes from. This forces them to be completely objective when performing sensory analysis. Only really good products are certified.

In anticipation of the new product launch, Pure Flavor® spent the last 16+ months developing the Cloud 9® Tomato brand, which is available starting February 1st for shipping across North America.
