Ecuadorian banana exports exceed 99 million boxes until March

Ecuadorian banana exports from January to March 2023 reached 99.86 million boxes, indicating a 4.57% increase compared to the same period in 2022, according to data provided by the Ecuadorian Banana Marketing and Export Association (Acorbanec).

The European Union was the primary destination, receiving 31.88% of the total production. Russia imported 23.53% of the fruit, while the Middle East accounted for 12.54% of the exports. The United States stood as the fourth major recipient, receiving 10.26% of the banana shipments.
