1st Potato Days UK in September

Organiser of trade fairs for the agricultural and food industry worldwide (Anuga, Agritechnica, PotatoEurope), DLG is organising the first Potato Days UK for the potato value chain.

 

The 1st Potato Days UK will be held at Nocton Farm in Nocton (Lincolnshire) on 4 and 5 September 2024. For this event DLG is collaborating with Dyson Farming; GB Potatoes; AVR; Dewulf; GRIMME UK; McCain; the University of Lincoln and UK Food Valley, the network for innovation in the food industry.

 

Aimed at UK and Irish potato growers as well as upstream and downstream sectors, the event will include an exhibition area for innovative machinery and solutions for growing and processing potatoes, as well as a large demonstration area. The total area will be around 20 hectares, in the heart of a potato-growing region.

 

In the UK, the area under potato cultivation covers 137,000 hectares and the annual harvest is around 5.5 million tonnes. The UK is the 4th largest potato producer in Western Europe after Germany, France and the Netherlands.
