Kaufland expansion plans for Romania

German hypermarket chain Kaufland plans to invest EUR 500 million opening 50 hypermarkets in Romania over the next five years. The first store is expected to open in Bucharest in the second half of 2005. Kaufland is part of the Schwarz Group.
