Bharti in talks with major retailers

Indian telecoms company Bharti Enterprises is holding talks with major international retailers about setting up grocery operations in India. "Bharti has an existing interest in the horticulture arena and is exploring the opportunity in food retail," said a company spokesman in a recent statement. Bharti already supplies UK retailer Tesco with some fresh products.
