Sant Miquel fair in Lleida at end of month

As reported by Fair of Lleida, the organizers are optimistic about the next edition since, with regard to trading, “the effects of economic crisis have not been noticed”.
Along with Sant Miquel, the 54th national exhibition for agricultural machineries, also the 23rd international Eurofruit exposition of Fruits will take place.
Lleida’s shows will host workshops and professional events, such as the International Symposium on Integrated Production in Catalonia “LleidaFruit´08”, taking place on September 25. The symposium, organized by the Catalan Council for Integrated Production, the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Fair of Lleida, will focus on the global situation, future prospects and protection, quality and sustainability of integrated production, and will bring together professionals across Europe.
The fair will also provide recreational and educational activities for visitors, such as oil and wine tastings, lectures and presentations, practical demonstrations and exhibitions.
Side events include three awards already consolidated, as the Agrarian Book Award, the Award for technological innovation and safety at machine design and the Contest for innovation in the sector of fruit.
