Russians like quince
MLK
The largest producer of quince, Turkey mainly exports to Russia at the end of October.
About 130 000 tonnes were produced in the Marmara and Izmir region , and especially in Denizli . The quince is not traditionally eaten as a fruit as is, but in recent years , changes to the production of new species have visited Russia and it has become as popular as apple, introducing itself on the market at the same time as the grenade.
About 10 percent of the total production is exported to European countries and a third of the export goes to Russia, but 80 percent of Denizli quince products are exported due to their exceptional quality. The prices obtained are particularly good and it is likely that production will increase in the coming years.
