Christmas in Europe 2012 was disappointing for cherry growers in South America who are more confident for the Chinese New Year.
Is the reason to do with the crisis or environmental concern?
According to the observations of iQonsulting, Europe has reduced its demand for winter cherries significantly. Demand was low to moderate in the firtst weeks of December and has not picked up during the holidays.
Cherry growers in South America are disappointed with the results obtained in Europe for Christmas 2012. But they remain confident for the Chinese New Year in Asia where the market is most active with and increasing demand for cherries.
