United States

Northern Michigan fruit and vegetable producers think that international markets are becoming increasingly important and profitable.
In Graceland Fruit of Frankfort a third of their sales are in international exports.
They've been marketing internationally for the past 13 years, and say profits have gone up by 20 percent each of those years. Apple growers bring in about US$4-5 million annually from international sales.
In opinion of industry experts marketing campaigns are becoming increasingly important when it comes to hooking other countries.
Michigan has advantages in terms of location. Water currents work in our favor to bring shipping costs down for many countries.
