The U.S. Potato Board confirms that the drought did not affect the production of potatoes.
Severe drought (our info from 17.07) in the United States will cause a spike in prices of many food products.
Shortages of certain crops will particularly affect the prices of meat and dairy products, but not potatoes, according to the U.S. Potato Board. Crops
of potatoes have started and volumes will be good.
The U.S. Potato Board represents more than 2,500 potato growers across the country. Founded in 1971 and based in Denver, Colorado, the USPB aims to promote the consumption of potatoes.
