Mangoes from Pakistan will lose market share in the U.S. and Japan due to a significant drop in production.
The Pakistan estimates that its production of mangoes is in net decline and losing market share.
A loss of 30% of production is expected (our info from 15.05) by the Exporters Association of Pakistan (PDCA). The direct consequence will the declining exports and a significant loss of market share.
Demand in the very lucrative markets
of the U.S. and Japan that had opened their borders will not be met this season.
Good news for the future: a delegation coming from Australia will inspect farms and treatment units in the country. The opening of the Australian market is expected during this years and will help develop future exports.
