New coastal links connect northern Mozambique with Nacala and Maputo.
MSC has launched a new coastal service connecting Afungi in northern Mozambique with the ports of Nacala and Maputo.
The Afungi Shuttle provides dedicated feeder connections on the Nacala–Afungi–Nacala and Maputo–Afungi–Maputo routes. It also links Afungi with MSC’s wider network serving Europe, the Mediterranean, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Southern Africa.
Simplified access to Afungi
Customers can arrange the main international shipment and the coastal feeder connection under a single MSC booking. According to the carrier, this will simplify cargo planning and provide shippers with one commercial point of contact throughout the journey.
The service also improves maritime access to northern Mozambique, strengthening the region’s connections with international trade routes and creating additional logistics options for cargo moving to and from Afungi.
