Bon Preu partners with the Alt Empordà Agricultural Park

The Bon Preu Group (Bon Preu and Esclat chains) has signed a partnership agreement with the Alt Empordà Agricultural Park, cementing the company’s role as a strategic partner in the project for the 2026–2030 period. This alliance is part of the Group’s ESG program, “Our Footprint,” which reflects its commitment to the region, local products, and support for the primary sector.

Strengthening the local sector

The Alt Empordà Agricultural Park is a strategic initiative that emerged from the region itself with the goal of protecting agricultural land, strengthening agriculture, and ensuring the continuity of the local agri-food sector. In a context marked by pressure on land and the gradual loss of farms, the project advocates for a more resilient and sustainable model, connected to the reality of the region.

Preferential access for park producers

In this context, the agreement with the Bon Preu Group takes the form of an active and ongoing collaboration based on preferential access for producers in the Agricultural Park, the identification of new opportunities for local products, the development of joint pilot projects, and the gradual incorporation of locally sourced products into the company’s product range. A partnership aimed at preserving the continuity of local products from the Empordà region, strengthening their presence on store shelves, and bringing them closer to the end consumer.

The Bon Preu Group is a leading Catalan company serving people in the field of everyday consumer products and services. It currently operates 140 Bonpreu supermarkets, 64 Esclat supermarkets, and 17 mini-markets. Through BonpreuEsclat online, it serves more than 6 million people with home delivery and 30 online pickup locations. It operates 70 EsclatOil gas stations, more than 400 charging stations for electric vehicles, and, through BonpreuEsclat Energia, supplies electricity throughout the country.
