After three years of restructuring and the introduction of a new shareholder (Turkish Yildirim Group), CMA CGM announces positive results this year. The third largest group of global shipping gains new momentum with the launch of the flagship of its fleet: the Marco Polo.
Marco Polo is the largest container ship in the world, carrying up to 16,020
TEUs (twenty foot equivalent) containers or 97 km end to end. Its length is 396 meters (longer than four football fields), with a width of 53.60 meters, draft of 16 meters.
CMA CGM MARCO POLO started its rotation on November 7 under FAL (French Asia Line) in Shanghai, Ningbo. Southampton, Le Havre, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam, Hamburg.
