China imports 52 types of fruit from 43 countries and regions

Chinese consumers now have access to a greater variety of fruits from all walks of life.
AQSIQ, the Chinese health authority, authorized last year 17 fruits to enter the market. Currently, 52 types of fruit from 43 countries and regions can enter China.
The largest number of licenses benefit the countries of Southeast Asia: Taiwan has 26, Thailand 22. Chinese consumers now have access to a greater variety of fruits from all sources. Last year 17 kinds of fruits have obtained import authorization. Among them, cherries from Turkey, apples from Poland, watermelons and bananas from Laos, oranges and lemons from Nepal.
More than 120 new requests have been received for AQSIQ services for import admissions. From the whole world for melons, blueberries, avocados, bananas, apples, cherries, citrus fruits.
