India has established itself as one of the fastest growing markets for Chilean exports, reaching $64 million in May and totalling $289 million in the first five months of 2024, notes ProChile.
Among the outstanding products are fresh apples, with $ 10 million and an increase of 87%, and cauliflower seeds, which exceeded $ 1 million with a growth of 790%.
Brazil, Mexico and Colombia also stood out in May as important destinations for Chilean exports. Brazil, the third destination for non-copper, non-lithium shipments, recorded $258 million in May, with a growth of 18.9% and a total of $1.18 billion in the first five months of 2024. Mexico and Colombia showed respective growth of 0.6% and 14.6% in May, accumulating $617 million and $387 million in 2024, respectively.
