Apple and orange prices edge lower in Lima

Wholesale prices for Delicia apples and Valencia oranges declined slightly in Lima on August 4, according to Peru’s Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, MIDAGRI.

Delicia apples averaged PEN3.26 (US$0.96) per kg at Wholesale Fruit Market No. 2, compared with PEN3.29 (US$0.97) per kg the previous day.

Valencia oranges traded at PEN0.95 (US$0.28) per kg, down from PEN0.98 (US$0.29). Both products therefore recorded a day-on-day decline of PEN0.03 per kg.
