Peru exports for the first time avocados to China

After 7 years of negotiations with the Chinese health authorities, Peru was able for the 1st time to export its Hass avocados to the world's largest market.

This opening on the Chinese market allows to consider an increase in agricultural areas devoted to exports. The total of 300 000 hectares planned in 2021 could be significantly exceeded.

Exports of Hass avocados in China could increase to USD 30 million for total sales revenue. If all areas move forward together (production, packaging, logistics).
