New seedling trays enable better root development and easy transplanting
Seedling trays allows obtaining vegetable plants of optimal quality. They are used for a good root development (root direction) and good transplanting (easy plant extraction).
For 20 years, SPID is a large European manufacturer of seedling trays. The company can offer a wide range of over 20 types of trays for young vegetable, flower, strawberry and tree plants.
SPID seedling trays are injected in polypropylene. This material is rigid, durable (more than 15 years) and washable. This facilitates the work of seed growers (handling, mechanization, etc.) and ensures optimal quality of seedlings.
SPID constantly develops their range of products by introducing new items every year. With the respect of new quality standards, they design new products taking into account root development (shape of alveolus), and considering the technical constraints (sowing, transplanting etc ...).
SPID is launching:
- The crate box
- The 384 alveoles in Euro format
- The 216 alveoles in Euro format
- The F480 alveoli in Danish format, for the micro-propagation of forest plants
Every stage of new product development is strictly monitored for an agronomy and technical characteristics. For this company realized 3D prototypes for each novelty.
Based in France, the company is mainly active in Europe (85% of turnover) but benefits from customers throughout the world: the Middle East, Africa, and America.
