Mandarin exports surpassed $15 million in the first 4 months of 2022

Peruvian mandarin exports from January to April 2022 totaled 12.370.469 kilos worth $15.037.117, according to the report from the Agrodata Peru portal. These figures reflect a decrease compared to shipments of said fruit in the same period of the previous year when 17.315.276 kilos were shipped for $18.610.521.
As for the destination markets, according to Sergio del Castillo, general manager of Procitrus, this year, the fruit is mainly destined for markets in the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, China, Canada and Chile. He specified that the fruit will not be sent to Russia, which before the war in Ukraine began was the seventh destination for Peruvian exports. All this fruit will be distributed in other markets in Europe, Asia, America and North America.
