Pink Lady apple crop for the 2002-03 season is estimated at 48 000 tons in Europe compared with 33 000 tons last season. This apple variety, coming from Australia, has been named pink Lady by French gardeners. Harvest is around October 15th. Pink lady is farmed in Europe, but also in Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, North America and South Africa. Estimate for 2005 are 111 000 tons of apples worldwide.
