Drop in peach production

The Spanish production of peaches from Valencia reaches 73 000 tons, that is to say a 14% drop compared with 2002. As for the "peach-nectarine" variety, it has reached 38 000 tons. Other summer fruit have also recorded significant fall such as apricot and cherry. This situation is mainly due to a fall in temperatures at the end of winter, rains and frost.
