TOMRA 5A for the potato processing industry and TOMRA 5B for vegetables, fresh produce and potato industry.
On the occasion of INTERPOM PRIMEURS, the European indoor fair for potato, fruit and vegetable professionals, from culture to processing, TOMRA SORTING FOOD presented 2 new sorters for the TOMRA 5A and TOMRA 5B models .
TOMRA 5A: machine for the potato processing industry, assists transformers by combining a very stable sorting performance with a new simple interface graphical use, increasing the level of safety and food quality and reducing the loss of product. Safety and food quality being a top priority for consumers and processors, this innovative machine goes beyond in order to ensure optimum performance with the new peel control module, an additional system. The TOMRA 5A offers the highest capacity in the industry, 55 tons of potatoes per hour. The Peel Control Module, which can be connected to multiple machines, retrieves data from the sorter for accurate measurements of skin removal levels. To obtain the desired level of skin removal, the optimum vaporization time is calculated and sent directly to the steam peeler. This reduces the loss of skin and food without any supervision.
TOMRA 5B, the new sorter for vegetable, fresh produce and potato industry. An efficient and intuitive sorting solution that aims to improve the yield and quality of the product, with very little loss and maximum availability of the machine. The machine offers optimum performance, improved ease of use and optimized hygienic design. To achieve this optimum performance, the sorter combines TOMRA's Smart Surround View technology with 360 degree inspection. The technology makes use of high resolution cameras and high intensity lighting to optimize product detection. This improves detection of foreign colors, shape and materials and ensures superior product quality. Accurate rejection of defective products is 3 times faster than previous ejectors. With a conveyor speed of 5 meters per second the machine offers a higher hourly capacity, and meets the market demands for increasing production volumes.
