Almería remains the first exporter of fresh Fruits & Vegetables of Spain

Almería can claim 38.3% of exports of fresh F&V of the country, placing the region well ahead.

Almería exported in the 3rd quarter of this year a total of 1.64 million tonnes (including canned) with 1.28 million tons of Fruits & Vegetables. So +5.7% in volume compared to the same period of 2013 and -2.6% in value with 1.18 million.

Despite the drop in turnover, Almería is the largest exporter of Fruits & Vegetables of the country, with 38.3% market share, up 14 points over Murcia.

Germany is the main destination by buying 30.2% of total exports of Almería. Then come France with a share of 15.8%, the Netherlands 12.1%, UK 11.2% and Italy with 7.3%.
