Imported strawberries are still dominating on the market

There's still some time to the first crop of Polish strawberries. There is considerable uncertainty about the prices in the coming season amongst producers.

 

 

The producers and traders agree that the price of the dessert strawberries will be strongly correlated with the price of strawberries for processing.

 

 

Processing plants say that they have still considerable supplies of frozen fruit from the previous season.

 

 

At the moment on the market an imported dessert strawberries still dominate. On Tuesday, May 12 the price of Spanish strawberries was up to 15 PLN (3.41 euro)/kg.
