COAG distributed over 40,000 kilos of fruit and vegetables in Madrid.
The Spanish agricultural organization COAG has distributed for free over 40,000 kilos of fruit and vegetables in Madrid.
This distribution of tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelons, peaches was intended to promote fruit and vegetables in Spain caught in the midst of the crisis after the E.coli outbreak in Germany. The slogan "
Sanas, Segura, Sabrosa. Consúmelas" (Healthy, safe, tasty, eat them) was used for the products.
Spain, the Minister of Agriculture and farm organizations believe the European Commission’s proposal of a 210 million euro aid package to compensate the agricultural sector for the cucumber crisis to be ridiculous and humiliating.
