Dole appointed official supplier of fruit for Rugby World Cup

Dole has been designated as the supplier of fresh fruit and canned fruit for the Rugby World Cup 2011.
 
Dole has been the largest supplier of bananas in New Zealand for over 15 years. Its participation in the biggest sporting event in the history of the country has underlined its prominent position, said company. Dole has been named official supplier of fruit for the Rugby World Cup, joining the international and local companies that sponsor the event.
 
The Rugby World Cup will take place from September 9 to October 23 in New Zealand. The number of spectators is expected to reach 1.6 million for the matches, with a global television audience in 200 countries reaching 4 billion.
